I am thinking of making some frames and was wondering if there is good
reason for the bottom bars to be so narrow.
I understand the self spacing feature of the top bars and shoulders but
think uncapping once the frames were fully drawn would be easier if you could
run the knife down with the frame as a guide. Also making them would be
easier as well.
Any opinions? Experiences?
Privet has just started to bloom in SE CT the flow has slowed a bit but the
week of rain a week ago has made for a lot of things in bloom.
The local orchards have claimed pollination and fruit set on apples was poor
due to several rainy days during bloom.
It also seems as if the propolus appeared all at once maybe the slowing of the
flow redirected the foragers efforts?
