Hi Ken.
Yes. In the United States there is a product sold across the counter in
drugstores and convenience stores called "Moth crystals" and the chemical
name is Paradichlorebenzene.
After I extract the honey, I return the frames to the bees to get them
cleaned up and "refurbished" for next year. Then I take a sheet(s) of
plastic and place it on a hive cover turned upside down. Next I place an
empty medium super on the sheet of plastic and pout one container of moth
crystals. Then I place boxes containing the material that I want to
preserve, turn up the plastic sheet and seal the boxes tightly with sheets
of plastic tying the plastic around them with rope. Works pretty well!
WARNING: Must use paradichlorobenze BUT NOT moth balls!
Good luck.
Best regards.
