Hi all,
 
        Heard Dr. DeGuzman at AHPA 2 yrs ago. She has investigated the source
of varroa
in North America by DNA analysis. She told us that both strains of mites
are here. She thought
the Japanese type may have come thru Peru, possibly on queens or bees
imported from Japan.
