This year to harvest the honey from 25 colonies I have used a Hackler
honey punch. The cappings fork sounds interesting and I would like a
comparison of the two from them that has used both.
My experiance with the punch has been good the bees clean up the wet
combs pretty well and since you only lose the caps they spend less energy
making wax.
I have a yard where I let the bees rob out the wet combs before storage
and what wax I collect is from a board under the wet supers and from the
strainer under the extractor.
