The last week of July I visited one of my bee yards to find that wind
and/or lighting had caused two trees to break and fall onto several
of my hives shattering a few. The heat index that day was 123 and it
was very miserable sawing up those downed trees. Last week end I
went back to the same yard a few days after a bad storm came through
our area. This time one tree had been blown down and crushed the
very same hives. I replaced the equipment again. And will go back
this weekend to check them out. Just unusual bad luck I guess.
