I think that this is being a bit unfair on the poor rat. Bees have a
remarkable sense of direction and ability to navigate, far superior to
humans or, I suppose, rats. Do you have to be able to "Think" to
"Learn"? I'm not sure. I do not think that bees have that ability. I
will agree that bees are remarkable creatures but I think that this is
more to do with the long time they have had to evolve rather than any
sort of intelligence.
