Once upon I time I got my first taste of unpleasantness from this
list when I asked for contributions of beekeepers' rules of thumb,
the 'expert knowledge' that makes it so much easier when you are
experienced.  Things like how much paint, how many nails, for a given
number of supers, etc.
 
I've just added a page to the NZ Beekeepers' Pages with JavaScript
calculations for a *wide variety* of both 'straight conversions' but
also many that have in-built assumptions and other beekeepers'
experiences built into them.
 
I'd welcome your comments, either personal or to the list...
