I would recommend putting the new queen in a "flat" queen cage (such a
described in these posts lately. The cage fits between two frames and
allows bees access only on the screen edges. These cages are easy to
make. Form #8 mesh into a 3/8 inch flat (rectangular in outline) tube.
Make wooden plugs for the ends. Leave her in the brood nest for a few
days. And yes, you must destroy the old queen first.
