Bill, I live in Northern Maryland and going into the second year of using 1
deep and a medium.  I also do pollination and use this combination for weight
reasons in lifting.
During the honey flow I do add another medium ands leave it on for the summer
crop pollination to hopefully go into winter with 2 mediums of honey.
