Hi Bob-
Depending on the time of year and temperature, one could place the baggie just about
anywhere on the hive. Wouldn't suggest you put it between the two brood chambers
though. Normally you would lay it right on top of the frames of the top super/chamber of
the hive and then put some kind of frame around it (super) to give the bees room to work
the baggie and keep the lid off of it.
If your baggie measures roughly 12" x 12", then the foot print of the baggie when filled and
laying on the frames is the same measurement. Lay it so the ziplock seal is on the side and
the sides of the baggie are facing up and down.
