i'm in ne florida where it is pretty hot by this time of the year.  i have
found that the best time for me to work my hives is at 2:30 in the
afternoon.  the sun is at it's hottest and it seems that most of the girls
are out in the field working!  most of the time i can work them with just a
smoker and no veil, yes, not always the smartest thing to do.  however, they
don't bother me and only once in awhile if i push too hard does one express
it's opinion.  however, i have bursitis (sp) in both shoulders and the
stings help greatly to relieve the pain.
