Well, I don't know the size of your outfit, but if you only
have a few hives, you may want to take the trouble to freeze the
empty frames, then wrap the supers in plastic garbage bags. I've
been doing this with drawn comb for a couple of years and have
yet to have a moth problem. The freezing (easier to accomplish
if you have access to a deep freezer, but I've used the top of
my fridge for two or three frames at a time) kills the wax
moth larvae without chemicals, and wrapping tightly in garbage
bags deters re-infestation by the moths. I keep mine in my
basement, but I would think storing in a barn or garage would
also work.
Hope this helps!
