When I was in New Zealand, some beekeeepers used this stuff for bottoms
and tops, but most hive equipmemtn there was boiled in parafin to prevent
rot in the moist climate. It seemed pretty successful under thos conditions.
In Canada, I sometimes see osb lids in my rounds as a bee inspector, and
it is invariably in poor condition.
I would expect that you should soak or boil the stuff in some serious
preservative if you want it to last for than a few years.
