Greetings,

My bees were out in force last weekend with temperatures
near 70 F. There were hundreds of them in our nearby
composting pile, something I didn't see at all last year
(my first keeping bees). Is this an indication of low
food supply in the hive? What are they after? There is
very little if any sweets (fruit) in the pile? Any
ideas?
