As an interesting note, a couple years ago I had a disused hive sitting
around (never occupied), hoping to hive a swarm into it.  Well, the swarm
never materialized, but when I opened up the hive later, I found a mud-
dauber nest stuck onto the inner cover!  Apparently, they liked the
sheltered location.
