The suggestion to use meat tenderizer for bee stings was not intended to deal w
ith the problem of the African ("Africanized") bee.  Obviously, the latter requ
ires considerable more research before an adequate medical solution becomes ava
ilable.  Mark Winston's well-written little book on the Killer Bees makes this
point all too clear.
