The 2023 paper in Apidologie on infestation levels in Brazil has the longest list of authors I have ever seen.  Fig. 6 also has infestation levels in the last decade from individual apiaries ranging from very low to the teens (in mites per 100 bees).  Just that scatter plot suggests there is no uniformly high resistance to varroa in Brazilian AHB.
