For the record, Kim Flottum (Bee Culture Editor) and Joe Grahm (ABJ Editor)
were both fully aware of what they were doing - assuring the widest possible
readership.
As mentioned in the first post in this thread, other items have been
published by both magazines SINCE then, but at that time (2003), it was said
by Kim and Joe to be "unprecedented". The obituary for Rev Langstroth back
in 1895 was apparently forgotten.
Kim mentioned a few people who speculatively sent articles to both, and
neglected to mention to either editor that it has been accepted by both,
that was plainly dishonest.
And I'll say it again - Writing About Beekeeping Is Like Dancing About
Architecture.
