Hi all
My intent was not to discuss "A Beekeeper’s most important tool is knowledge" although I agree with this. Without knowledge or experience, you can't even properly use a screwdriver.
This is what I was wondering about: "Yearly, roughly 40% of all colonies in the US die and must be replaced. Nearly 30% of newly-installed queens die in the first 6 months."
Are folks seeing this? At 40 bucks a pop, if a third of the queens are going to die in less than 6 months, that kind of pricey, especially of the goal is to buy "better genetics."
