A bit tangential to the topic de jour, but this reminds me of something Dr. Kefuss has routinely pointed out when looking at the BIP data (RIP) - there are managed colonies that are surviving more than a year or two without any meaningful intervention for varroa - as he quips, 'There's gold in them hills...'
