We have gone the complete reverse with an abundance of both "native bees"
and bumblebees. My wife has been sick for the whole spring so the "weeds"
got out of hand because she was in the hospital and I was with her. So my
plans for my bees went by the wayside.
The bumblebees and native bees are all over the weeds but no honeybees.
They are all over my trees and flowers.
As far as my bees, they swarmed when I was away and when I got home found
they had settled into stored hives in a shed. I recently moved the hive out
of the shed to my apiary. So the bumblebees and native bees were happy
because we left the garden alone and my bees were kind enough to grant me
another hive just because I left them alone!
Beekeeping is truly an adventure.
