Regarding colors, I was told a long time ago that they do not mean many guarantees of quality. More important are the observed characteristics and health of the mothers during the first year and subsequent inclusion in the cycle of crossing.
For example, if I had options that I will never have, I would make a selection based on the sensitivity and resistance of biopathogens from the tests of the mothers after which the lines are maintained or not.
No breed books, only tests of health and resistance and sensitivity, pure selection for the main signs of health. Productivity, stinginess, the dispersion, collecting and thrift ability as second - important in order.
