I have the answer to that.  When I overwintered wooden nucs I fed them in the autumn and occasionally they needed a top up in the spring.  I moved to polynucs and they seem to need feeding four times, taking more feed than my full-sized wooden hives!  (These are thrifty black bees - full hives are only fed 6.5kg fondant).
