>I have a hard enough time rationalizing using plastic foundation. Plastic
hive bodies (thinking ahead to their disposal) are not an option for me.
Instead, I'm experimenting with renewable and biodegradable wood products.

I tried a dozen 6-frame polynucs. Have to say that winter survival is massively better than wooden ones, BUT when hit by EFB I began to regret the choice. No way that you can scrape them clean of wax and propolis and trying to submerge them in strong bleach is not easy. Wood is easy - blowtorch!

Best wishes
