Have you ever had an ant nest in a stack of equipment?
(BTW, won't happen with plastic foundation)
Larger ants, they drag in dried grass, nest is sometimes as large as softball
You know it is happening, even before you see the nest because 
there are LOTS of ants, & all over your hands, can't ignore it
So... the summer after ccd (1st yr) there was an ant nest, tennis ball size (or smaller),,
no ants, none, not a one,,,,,,FWIW
