In a British beekeeping meeting memorialized on YOUTUBE a swarm/feral
chaser documented his many
collections that combined colonies, comb and electrical wiring. Live
wiring, of course, generates a magnetic field.
My take-home message was that he was convinced that bees preferred locating
on live electrical lines rather
than just vacant walls.  Think regular signal.

There was a poorly-controlled study suggesting that hive boxes did more
poorly
when they were located closer to a bear (hi freq and V, low impedance to
ground) fence than when it was further away.
Think irregular signal.
