The EPA approved label does not specify how many times per year a hive may be treated, nor how frequently a hive may be treated with oxalic acid vapor.  Work has been done by Cameron Jack on how much needs to be vaporized to be effective.  See this youtube:The Future of Treating with Oxalic Acid - Dr. Cameron Jack
Jack says he thinks four grams per deep is the effective dose from his research.  The label says one gram per deep per application.  So, why not treat with one gram in the morning.  A few minutes later treat again with one gram.  Repeat this in the afternoon.  This violates nothing on the label and gets you to the four gram effective dose.

Jack says he has seen no significant harm from treating multiple times with such doses.  Of course EPA is not going to even bother to read his work unless someone in the EPA happens to be a beekeeper and studies his work because of personal interest.  EPA would not read it even if it was submitted as part of an application.  The reason is simple.  Jack's work has not been done in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).  Such non GLP studies are simply not reviewable by EPA.  It may very well be wonderful science but if the work is not GLP compliant it is of no use to EPA.
