Probably old hat to veteran bee researchers, but I was amazed to watch workers previously flash frozen in nitrogen go from a frosty clump of bees unceremoniously dumped en masse on the ground to individual bees flying off seemingly no less worse for wear 10-15 minutes later when too many bees were collected as a function of a USDA study I participated in. Eye opening to me.
