For those who were concerned, I heard back from the server folks.
"There was a problem with Gmail over the weekend of the 14th and 15th of the which caused a lot of mail to bounce. The problem was internal to Gmail -- we successfully delivered mail to their servers, and the messages were then rejected internally to their network. It seems that they resolved the problem, as we haven't seen any new rejections of this type since January 16th. This is consistent with the daily error report your forwarded as I don’t see any errors past the 16th.
The addresses will stop being monitored after four days pass with no new bounces, which should have already occurred. "
So, AFAIK no one was dropped.
