Thanks for the feedback. I suppose for me the more intriguing aspect of this vein of research is whether the
queen not only has ability to modify egg size, but also control methylation and protein content of eggs based on perceived colony status in vivo.
If so, it at least opens the prospect that there is possibly more to caste determination than nutrition, at least in swarm and supersedure events.
