I’ve got some colonies that have not responded well to formic acid treatment and am considering an application of Apiguard (thymol). The colonies are in a configuration of one medium super over one deep, how I will probably leave them going into winter. I know that honey supers cannot be left on during thymol treatment. If I use this treatment now am I condemning myself to never again using those mediums for honey collection, requiring that I mark them and the frames in them in some way as off-limits?
