If you work with a defensive colony, you will get every stinging bee out and after you in the act of moving the colony. Once they stop chasing around the bee yard, they will return to the capture box, along with all the other bees that regularly fly from the colony. I'm calling the field force the combination of guards and foragers. Anyway, it's not just guard bees that do the stinging in a defensive colony. Guards use alarm pheromones to recruit others to join in.
