I understand the study's objective, but the variables introduced between the different subject colonies negate the results. The stock selection and the colony protocols predetermined the outcome.
So, is this good science? I was reminded of Lu's discredited 2014 Harvard study on neonicotinoids linking their cause to CCD. He overdosed the subject bees to the extent that the pesticide company agreed that the high dosage would kill the test bees and anything else in the area.
