A paper posted at the Dalan website shows results comparing larvae progeny of treated and control queens when given a dose of 10 thousand spores of AFB, and also when not given any AFB. In three replications at different sites., treatment dropped mortality from the expected 50% (a tad higher in one of the trials) to the 30% range. Unexposed mortality was very low in larvae from control and treated queens. So there is a "significant" effect of the immune priming under those controlled conditions.
