Club apiaries are popular in Britain.  A great recent book is _The
Teaching Apiary: A Brilliant Resource_ by Roger Patterson and published
by BIBBA in 2021. (Bee Improvement & Bee Breeders Association)
Patterson inherited the Dave Cushman website from Cushman.

I've tried for a number of years to get a club apiary going.  We had
bees and equipment donated.  We just needed the go ahead on siting, and
that we were never able to get.  Our best hope was a site at a local
college - unfortunately we ran head into school politics.

We had a vision of teaching beekeeping over two seasons, and having new
beekeepers acquire their first bees by making their own nucs.
