With these excellent photos I'm struggling to understand how the royal
jelly of open brood is not acidified, resulting in harm to the developing
brood.
With the aqueous and porous environment of developing brood, pH changes are
(unless I'm missing a fact), are almost certain.
One experiment design may be setting queen cups with royal jelly, testing
the pH before, and after a vaporization treatment.
