The logical extension would be to put out hives a mile apart like
birdhouses, well up off the ground.
Wait for swarms to move in, and enjoy being a beekeeper as long as the
swarm survives.
No need to clean out the deadouts -- another swarm will move in and do it
for you.
You could drive by you multiple apiaries on Saturdays and see if there are
bees flying in and out.
That sure sounds like fun to me!
