IMO. Unless you live in a tallow area, we shoukd ait down and shut up. Seems another attempt to elict sympathy for something most people have no clue about. Feel good projects.
We have russian olives here bees like, horrible invasive, Fl everglades are being run over by mangroves, the list goes on. Let the locals with the issues handle it, and stay out of it.
