There's a really interesting discussion about the future of varroa
treatments before the EPA did the Section 18 emergency listing mistake for
Coumaphos and contaminated the global wax supply.
Apparently, Bayer was lying to beekeepers in meetings, and the makers of
Apistan were also lying and saying that neither of these chemicals
contaminated the wax.
There was also a lot of doubt cast on formic acid and oxalic acid, which
are now the mainstays of many beekeepers.
Ah, good old Bayer.
