Craft:  the ability, coming from one's knowledge, practice, aptitude, etc., to do something well.
Most definitions emphasize a craft as related to manual dexterity.
In our online classes, we do not teach a bees and beekeeping as as a craft, but rather as a discipline - hence, we don't focus on the how as much as the why of any action or inaction.
Looking at some of the other definitions of craft, this one gave me pause:
skill or ability used for bad purposes; cunning; deceit; guile (crafty)
