To answer this question in an informed manner, we need to determine the
following.
1. What % of pollen and nectar are consumed in a given location prior to
honey bees? That is, for a given food species, how much pollen and nectar
remain that could have been tapped by a pollinator but wasn't.
2. What % of pollen and nectar remain after Honey bees are placed in a
location?
One could possibly test this hypothesis with food plots used by honey bees
and native pollinators, for example alfalfa or buckwheat. I wonder if
there has been a previous study on this subject?
