I've challenged the my directors in the WAS states and provinces to raise travel funds for students, send at least one to a Friday evening Student Poster session.  Some of states closer to Montana will be sending a van from their university, with students.
Last I checked, LA wasn't part of the Western Apicultural Society, but we might make an exception.  Do you qualify as a student?  If so, get to work raising funds to come.
