Denatured ethanol, a gallon costs about $12 at any store that sells paint, is an excellent solvent for propolis. It works well for cleaning tools, clothes and your hands. Just wet a paper towel and scrub until the propolis dissolves and is gone. Methanol or isopropyl alcohol also work at higher cost. If you work without gloves like I do it sure is nice to clean your hands before you grab the steering wheel and gum it up forever.
