I think most here would agree that it has immense value. A mite resistant, disease resistant is the answer to much heartache and travail. I think the problem is that a fifty dollar queen with a 50% chance of lasting a year is a tough sell. If you could swamp your locale with resistant stock like Randy can do, it would be better since supersedure queens would likely retain the traits. Otherwise the traits would be very expensive to retain.
