I agree, it's the same assessment that I came to.

Here in California, Yellow Star Thistle, a NOXIOUS weed, was taking over
the State.  Everyone hated it, but it was a great honey plant.
Biocontrols did not eradicate it, but brought it into balance in the
landscape.  We still get some honey from it, but we can now live with it.
