Most of what they said was garbled, mangled, or plain wrong. Hive bees preferring hives; tree bees preferring trees? What sort of bees pick an abandoned gas tank? I have seen this. Also wine barrels -- good choice. Meter boxes -- not so good. 

Hive bees selected to build straight comb -- spoken like a true know-nothing! Hive bees have to be induced to build straight comb, same as any other. And the degree of isolation they have -- a couple hour's drive from London? Excuse me?
