I’ve heard this same “scream” many times during routine beekeeping when a worker is caught in a tight space like accidentally under the frame rest when replacing a frame or between the shoulders of two frames being manipulated. I’ve also heard this sound when a bee is caught in fabric. I’m not sure about the exact frequency but what I’ve heard, sounds identical to the what we heard in the video. I think it’s a simple stress response that bees use when facing danger. It works on me because I always stop and free the bee.
