While I occasionally see evidence of snarkiness and apparent personal
grudges, and I'd like it if people could sit on their hands for
a few minutes when they feel the urge to type in this tone, for
the most part, what I observe is cooperation, and an effort at
scientific rigour. I especially appreciate when people who have
the needed background comment on published studies, because I,
a non-biologist, don't have the time, nor the statistical chops,
to analyze them. Also, I see people who are good at finding
information dig up articles in response to questions and observations.
It seems to me that this list is indeed fulfilling its mandate
of providing intelligent and knowledgeable discussion, and many
of its members are most helpful. Thanks to all of you, even the
snarky ones. ;-)
