 Merlin is a very cool app. It can't identify everything, but it does a pretty good job. The other evening I popped it up when the mockingbird was going through his repertoire, in the hope that it would pick out the calls. But nope, it just identified the mockingbird.

 Not about bees but definitely about the use of sound identification technology. Interesting to note that the software actually converts the sounds into images and compares them with an image search.
