Below is a short recap of the methods, and a quote from the discussion,
finally attached is the Table 1 and Figure 1 which show the results from
the study.
Methods:
*Single deeps, *sample size of 10 per treatment group; varrox Pan heater
vaporizer, but single deep ensures good distribution; (0g, 1g, 2g, or 4g)
treatment groups, once per week for 3 weeks.
Discussion:
*...our mite infestation results suggest that repeated applications of2–4 g
OA vaporizations will significantly reduce colonymite loads. Thus,
determining treatment efficacy bymeasuring mite infestation levels via
sampling adulthoney bees is more accurate than measuring mite fall.Our
findings emphasize the lack of V. destructor controlachieved under the
current label rate for OA appliedvia vaporization.*
